Background
A flight investigation has been conducted on a roll-stabilized ramjet test vehicle. Engine performance data are presented over a Mach number range of 2.3 to 2.7, a range of fuel-air ratio of 0.038 to 0.050, and an altitude range of 3,000 to 40,000 feet. Roll-control performance is presented over a Mach number range of approximately 2.3 to 2.4. Theoretical values of the half amplitude and the period of the self sustained roll oscillation show good agreement with experimental results.
